Additionally, Japanese law requires that each contract come with an \u201cExplanation of Important Matters\u201d, which must be explained verbally to all parties and co-signed by a licensed Real Estate Transaction Broker.<\/p>\n<p>A contract for the \u201cSale of Real Estate\u201d contains the details of the transaction, the price of the property, and the rights and obligations of the contracting parties.<\/p>\n<p>Items required from the Buyer at the contract signing include: revenue stamp (the amount is based on sales price), registered seal, cash deposit (negotiable, but usually 10% &#8211; 20%), and photo ID (Driver&#8217;s license, Passport, Resident Card, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>If the purchase is to be financed, the contract will include a\u00a0mortgage contingency clause.
